All Hexadrive spring-loaded pulleys are designed with an easy removal feature, which minimizes the chance of damage to the pulley or shaft. This damage can result from hammering and prying on the pulley. While this feature is built into the smaller pulleys, all 5 HP and larger pulleys require the use of our Easy Removal Kit accessory because they feature “through bores.” The kit consists of a special nut and retaining ring that fit into the counterbore end of the pulley, retaining ring pliers, and a threaded puller rod.
